Fly the Fortress & Friends in Shreveport, LA
Come ride the B-17 Flying Fortress "Texas Raiders", the Twin Beech JRB "Little Raider", and the SNJ Texan in Shreveport May 7-9. This event is being held in conjunction with the Barksdale AFB 2021 Defenders of Liberty Airshow the weekend of May 8-9. The SNJ Texan and the JRB Expeditor will be available for rides at the Shreveport Regional Airport from Friday noon until Sunday afternoon. Specific flight times are in the appropriate forms below. The B-17 will be available for Living History Flight Experience rides Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons at Shreveport Regional. Flight times will be after the USAF Thunderbirds fly in the airshow and are expected to be approximately 4:00 - 5:00 PM. There will be no LHFE flights from Barksdale AFB, so your only chance to ride is from Shreveport Downtown Airport. So - remember if you go to the air show on Saturday you can ride on Texas Raiders on Sunday and vice versa! Flights on the B-17 start at $475; flights on the SNJ are $380, and seats on the JRB are only $100.
