CAF Makes a Major Impact at EAA AirVenture 2025

Oshkosh, WI (July 29,2025) –EAA AirVenture was a huge success for the Commemorative Air Force this year! We had a strong showing with 17 CAF aircraft in attendance and more than 20 CAF Units represented from across the country. Our presence was bigger and better than ever, thanks to a greatly expanded and upgraded tent display in the Warbirds area. Special thanks to the Wisconsin Wing for their outstanding support throughout the week—and for bringing their beautiful T-34 Mentor, which proudly stood in front of the CAF tent as a showpiece and crowd favorite. Some of the top highlights of the week included:

  • A powerful formation flight of CAF’s B-29 FIFI and P-51 Gunfighter with Doc (Friends of Doc) and Sweet Revenge (Fagen Fighters).
  • Multiple formation flights with our B-25s.
  • A rare gathering of FM-2 Wildcats—a real treat for warbird fans.
  • Dozens of fighter demos and ride flights from nearby airports.
  • Live interviews on the main announcer’s stand, putting CAF in the spotlight.
  • The CAF RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit drew families and young aviators all week long at KidVenture.

We also hosted a lively CAF Member Gathering on Friday night with over 250 members in attendance. One of the most memorable moments was welcoming 18 new members who took the Colonel Officers’ Oath during the evening. CAF leadership and staff were also busy behind the scenes, actively participating in FAA advocacy meetings throughout the week—helping to ensure the future of warbird operations. Thank you to everyone who made this year such a standout! The enthusiasm, teamwork, and shared passion for aviation history was on full display—and we’re already looking forward to next year.
