Young Aviator Scholarship Announcement
June 28, 2021(Louisville, Kentucky)- Col. Calvin L. Carrithers scholarship presented by Globalair.com is currently open for applications. The scholarship will provide four young American aviation students $1,000. Students who apply must be willing to create a weekly blog about their experience with flying, school, and their interest in aviation. The scholarship is now accepting applications to those who fit the guidelines. The deadline to submit is August 15, 2021.

Col. Calvin L. Carrithers’s motto was “you never stop learning.” Carrithers served in the Korean War and was very passionate about education. He committed much of his time volunteering and participating in education programs. Carrithers became a consultant to the Kentucky Department of Education and many other boards. He was a Kentucky Col. and former 32nd degree mason. Carrithers passed away in June of 2008.
