This group conducted unconventional and airborne operations, utilizing aircraft for infiltration, extraction, and close air support during World War II. The World War II Air Commandos have evolved into the current day U.S.A.F. Special Operations Command. Our special guest, Clay T. McCutchan, MGen U.S.A.F. retired, served as a U.S.A.F. Reserve special operations pilot and combat veteran as well as a U.S.A.F. civil service historian for HQ Air Force Special Operations Command.
