Online Event On August 8, 1943, the RCAF Halifax Bomber, HR 871, landed in the Baltic Sea off the Swedish coast. For more than 70 years, the Halifax lay unknown and unseen in the ocean until about seven years ago when the Bomber Command Museum of Canada stepped in to rescue this historic aircraft. Join Karl Kjarsgaard, curator of the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, and the Halifax 57 Rescue Project Director for an update on this exciting work being done to save the heavy bomber.
