Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight
August 30-September 1, 2025 Join Wings Exploration of Flight from August 30 – September 1 to experience rare historic aircraft up close! The featured aircraft of this event is the B-25J Mitchell WWII bomber “Yellow Rose” from the Vintage Aero Flying Museum. Marvel at the evolution in aviation between the two World Wars.
“Yellow Rose”is a B-25 Mitchell bomber, like those flown by the Doolittle Raiders in the Raid Over Tokyo on April 18, 1942. The B-25 is owned, maintained and flown by the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing.
Aircraft tours are included with admission and will be offered when the plane is not flying or being moved on the ramp.
Take a flight in the B-25! Living history flight experiences are approximately 30 minutes long and may be purchased in advance online. Admission to the showcase is included with purchase of a flight ticket – show your flight ticket confirmation at entry to receive showcase admission.
