(July 2, 2025)- Across the country, Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Units are taking celebration to new heights—literally. With thunderous flyovers, patriotic tributes, and rare vintage warbirds on full display, the CAF is honoring America’s birthday the best way we know how: through the sights, sounds, and spirit of freedom in flight. From coast to coast, these aircraft aren’t just flying—they’re telling the story of freedom.

Thunder Over East Texas - (Athens, TX) Join us Friday, July 4, at the Athens Municipal Airport for a high-flying Fourth of July celebration you won’t forget. Thunder Over East Texas features thrilling aerial displays, historic warbirds, and patriotic fun for the whole family—all in support of our nation’s veterans. Barnstorming Weekend – (Evansville, IN) Take a ride through the skies this Independence Day at Barnstorming Day at Evansville Regional Airport. The three-day event, hosted by the CAF Indiana Wing, will feature some legendary aircraft, and the public will have the opportunity to take a ride. Warbird Expo – (Tyler, TX) Come explore rare vintage aircraft during the Warbird Expo at Tyler’s Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in Tyler, Texas. This July 5 is your chance to take a ride on some of your favorite aircraft and see others up close. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to touch a piece of history by climbing aboard the B-25 Devil Dog bomber. They will also be able to see The Cavanaugh Flight Museum’s Corsair, the A-26 Night Mission, and so many more. Warbird rides are available for the B-25, C-45, and the SNJ. Click Here to Learn More.

Minnesota Wing Fly Over The CAF Minnesota wing will be filling the skies with the sounds of roaring engines this 4th of July. B-25 Miss Mitchell will fly over several locations in the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin and then will make its way up to Duluth for the Duluth Air Show. The flyover is starting at Fleming Field around 11:15 a.m. You can follow the aircraft on FlightRadar24 using the N number N27493 to get the most accurate updates. See the suggested route here.

Flying Legends of Victory Tour – (Pocatello, ID) Airbase Arizona is bringing history to life at Pocatello Regional Airport from July 4–6, offering unforgettable rides aboard the iconic B-25 Made in the Shade. This rare opportunity lets guests experience the sights, sounds, and sensations of flying in a World War II combat aircraft.
