CAF Mile High Wing’s “Sonoran Beauty” Now Jump-Qualified for Parachute Operations
Denver, CO – (April 25, 2025) - The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Mile High Wing is thrilled to announce that its beautifully restored Beechcraft SNB Expeditor, Sonoran Beauty, is now officially certified as a parachute jump platform. This exciting new qualification opens the door for thrilling skydiving experiences and adds a dynamic new capability to the aircraft’s already impressive resume.
The achievement marks the culmination of extensive training and rigorous safety evaluations, enabling Sonoran Beauty to support parachute operations at events and exhibitions across Colorado and beyond.
“We’re officially parachute jumper qualified!” said Dylan Dorvee, CAF Mile High Wing. “It’s another exciting way to connect the public with aviation history—through flight, adventure, and now, jumps!”
The Mile High Wing, based in Broomfield, Colorado, is assigned Sonoran Beauty, a pristine example of the Beechcraft SNB, a versatile World War II-era aircraft used for training, transport, and utility missions. They hold several events, from fly-ins to concerts, at their hangar.
