Commemorative Air Force Unveils 2025 Lineup for "12 Planes of Christmas"Fundraising Campaign

DALLAS, TX (September 5, 2025)— The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is thrilled to announce the return of its much-anticipated annual holiday fundraiser, the “12 Planes of Christmas.” Now celebrating its 10th year, this esteemed campaign offers aviation enthusiasts and history buffs a unique opportunity to support the restoration and preservation of the iconic World War II aircraft in the CAF’s fleet.

Over the last decade "12 Planes of Christmas" has garnered over $2.8 million in contributions, with last year's campaign raising an impressive $501,587. These funds have been instrumental in bringing several rare aircraft back to flight, furthering the CAF's mission to Educate, Inspire, and Honor.

This year, throughout December, the CAF will spotlight 13 carefully selected aircraft, each with a rich history and an ongoing restoration project spearheaded by dedicated volunteers nationwide. The 2025 lineup showcases a diverse array of aircraft, including:

  • SNJ-4 – Gulf Coast Wing (Conroe, TX)
  • P-40 Warhawk – P-40 Sponsor Group (Dallas, TX)
  • TBM-3E Avenger Doris Mae– Capital Wing (Culpeper, VA)
  • F8F A6M Zero – Southern California Wing (Camarillo, CA)
  • PT-13 Stearman – Indiana Wing (Westfield, IN)
  • AT-6 Nella – WASP Squadron (Dallas, TX)
  • B-24 Diamond Lil – B-29/B-24 Squadron (Dallas, TX)
  • L-26 Ike's Bird – Tampa Bay Wing (Lakeland, FL)
  • PT-19 – Spirit of Tulsa Squadron (Tulsa, OK)
  • BT-13 – Razorback Wing (North Little Rock, AK)
  • PBY Catalina – Lake Superior Squadron (Superior, WI)
  • SNJ-4 – Music City Wing (Lebanon, TN)
  • J-3 Cub – National Aviation Education Center (Dallas, TX)
